Welcome to The Classical School!  We are delighted you are exploring our website and learning more about our school’s unique combination of excellent academics, small class sizes, timeless values, and affordability. 

The Classical School is a brand, new school, but most of the principles that guide us have been around since antiquity. The mission of The Classical School is to develop highly effectives citizens through a timeless American classical education, rich in content in both the humanities and sciences, offering broad exposure to the arts, requiring daily strenuous physical activity, and with a strong emphasis on moral character, resilience, and civic responsibility.

The Classical School opened with a Kindergarten class this past August after four years of preparation.  The school founders, educators with extensive experience in multiple schools, carefully chose a classical curriculum that begins with explicit instruction in phonics and core math concepts.  As students advance, they will receive instruction in the American literary, moral, philosophical, political, and historical traditions.  Our students will work hard, but they will enjoy school and develop a lifelong love of learning.

We are excited to offer our approach to education to families of all income levels in and around Boone County.  For the 2026-2027 school year, we will add Grades 1 and 2 to our current Kindergarten class.  If you have children at these grade levels, we are eager to meet you and tell you more about our plans for this special school.  Please click on the More Information link, and we’ll quickly contact to arrange for a personal meeting.
